Investigative journalist who broke the 2017 story that the US government has been tracking and studying UFOs through its Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program.
With the help of Leslie Kean, UFOs are now taken seriously. Back in 1990, she was handed a book by a French colleague that documented commercial and military pilots' encounters with UAPs. She recalls, "I thought, my God, this is huge. Generals and admirals saying that they think it's likely that we're being visited by craft that are extraterrestrial ... "
Kean used her investigative journalism skills to track down credible witnesses and stuck to the facts. In 2010, Kean's book "UFOs: Generals, Pilots and Government Officials Go on the Record" became a New York Times best-seller. The government run AATIP (Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program) was revealed to the public when Kean wrote an article along with Ralph Blumenthal and Helene Cooper for the New York Times.
