Bogota, Colombia UFO
Around 12:30 P.M. on May 20, 1971, two 16-year-old boys, Eduardo Ponce and Jairo Castro Zarate, were strolling through the La Calera hills northeast of Bogota. As they began their descent to the plain below, they spotted something that initially appeared to be a distressed bird due to its unusual flight pattern. The object was darting erratically through the sky, making abrupt changes in direction and speed. The boys soon realized it was far too large to be any known bird species. Determined to capture this phenomenon, they decided to use their newly acquired Voitlander Vitomatic II, a 35mm camera. Equipped with a Prontor SLR lens, they set the focus at infinity and used ASA 100 color negative film. In total, they managed to take six photographs of the enigmatic object before it abruptly darted away.
