Edgar Mitchell was an American aviator, astronaut and aeronautical engineer who, in 1971, was part of the Apollo 14 mission. After his NASA career he became a vocal advocate for the existence of UFOs and extraterrestrial life, stating that he had personal experience with such phenomena during his time as an astronaut. He had a large personal UFO research collection, and It is alleged that he confirmed the famous Wilson Davis memo was real.
