Three declassified videos showing US military encounters with UFOs are released.
The U.S. government declassified three videos showing alleged encounters with UFOs in 2017. The Tic-Tac video was from the 2004 encounter off the California coast; the Gimbal video was from a 2015 encounter off the coast of Florida; and the Go Fast video was from a 2015 encounter off the coast of Florida. These videos represent one of the most significant de-classifications of UFO-related videos in history and featured prominently in a 2017 New York Times article on the topic.
