Richard F. Haines
Former NASA flight simulator researcher who became interested in the phenomenon after talking with commercial pilots about their UFO experiences.
Dr. Richard Haines was a predoctoral research fellow at the U.S. National Institute of Health in the mid 1960s before starting his career as an experimental psychologist and researcher at NASA's Ames Research Center.
Through his career at NASA Dr. Haines became fascinated with UFOs and wrote detailed reports of UFO encounters from 1947 through 2017. Dr. Haines co-founded the National Aviation Reporting Center on Anomalous Phenomena (NARCAP) in 1999, and he also wrote the 150+ page NARCAP report on the 2006 O'Hare UFO sighting as NARCAP's chief scientist.
