Scandinavian Ghost Rockets
Throughout 1946, over 2000 sightings of "rockets" in the skies over the Nordic countries were reported. There was much speculation as to the origin of the rockets, with many believing them to be meteors and others believing them to be Soviet test launches of captured Nazi rockets. There were multiple reports of these rockets landing in bodies of water, with Swedish officials launching several searches to attempt a recovery, none of which were successful. Certain elements within the Swedish and American scientific communities reviewed the cases and concluded the sightings were of a technology beyond the capabilities of human civilization at the time. No official US government reports were ever released on the matter.
