Journalist who wrote multiple articles debunking the Phoenix Lights.
Tony Ortega, journalist and former writer for the Phoenix New Times, claimed that the Phoenix Lights phenomenon were two separate events from the same night that are easily explainable. Ortega accounted for the V formation seen earlier in the evening as A-10 Warthogs flying at a high altitude. The later grouping of lights were flares discharged by the Maryland Air National Guard.
