Ronald Reagan
Had an alleged UFO sighting while on an airplane and grew very interested in the subject afterwards.
In 1974, while he was Governor of California, future United States President Reagan was flying in a Cessna Citation to Bakersfield, California and witnessed an unusual moving light at 35,000 feet with three other passengers. Although documentation is scarce, it is widely said that this sparked a lifelong interest in UFOs.
During a 2009 interview with Charlie Rose and Reagan's Secretary of State George Shultz, Mikhail Gorbachev revealed that during the Geneva Summit of 1985, Reagan asked him point-blank if they could set aside their differences in case the world was invaded by aliens, to which Gorbachev agreed.
