Robert Weryk

Physicist and astronomer identified the first ever tracked interstellar object to pass through our solar system.
Robert J. Weryk, a physicist and astronomer working at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, made history while using the Panoramic Survey Telescope and Rapid Response System. The unusual speed, orbit, and other unique properties made the object, dubbed 'Oumuamua, stand out. It was determined that it was interstellar, originating outside of our solar system, and became the first of its kind to have been identified and tracked by humans.
