Ardico Magnini
An important defensive player for the Fiorentina Italian professional football club in the 1950s and member of the Italian World Cup team of 1954, Magnini was on the field at the time of the Florence UFO sighting. He stated, "It was something that looked like an egg that was moving slowly, slowly, slowly. Everyone was looking up and also there was some glitter coming down from the sky, silver glitter."
He witnessed the object at Stadio Artemi Franchi just after halftime. "I remember everything from A to Z," he says decades later. We were astonished we had never seen anything like it before. We were absolutely shocked."
