U.S. congressional hearings on UFOs/UAPs are the first in over 50 years.
The U.S. House of Representatives held the first public hearing related to UFOs in over 50 years on May 17, 2022. The House Intelligence sub-committee meeting reached no public conclusions but offered up several previously unseen/classified videos of alleged UFOs. The event was considered a promising development to those seeking to better understand encounters with unidentifiable craft in American airspace. Pentagon and Defense Department officials noted optimism that modern technologies would allow higher resolution data to be collected that might aid in the positive identification of certain phenomena in the future.
