The Betz Mystery Sphere
This metal sphere was found in Florida and some believed it had odd propertie. The Betz family claimed that the sphere vibrated in response to certain sounds and moved on its own.
Despite the Betz family's claims of odd properties, investigations by the Air Force and UFO investigators found nothing unusual with the sphere. The balls odd movement in the Betz's house was explained by the U.S. Air Force, "I believe it's because of the construction of the house... It's old and has uneven stone floors. The ball is almost perfectly balanced, and it takes just a little indentation to make it move or change direction." A 2012 investigation stated the Betz sphere was likely a ball check valve produced by the Bell & Howell company.
