Roy Blunt, US Senator from Missouri, served on the Select Committee on Intelligence and subcommittees on Aviation and Space, Security, and Communications, Technology, Innovation, and the Internet. Senator Blunt backed the incorporation of a UAP amendment in the 2022 NDAA. He stated, "The bicameral, bipartisan Gillibrand amendment provides a comprehensive framework for a scientific data driven approach to get to the truth about UAP. This amendment ensures that we treat UAP as we would any potential national security threat that would enter U.S. restricted training or operational areas."
